Stargate Domesday Book
Stargate is compiling a Domesday Book to help our members keep in touch, and we have made it quick and easy to submit your information online: Domesday Book Submission Form. You can also submit your information on a paper form at the monthly Populace Meeting.

Monthly Business/Populace Meeting

Stargate's Populace meeting is held the first Monday of every month, except when that is a holiday, in which case the meeting is held the second Monday. There is a Business Meeting at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by the Populace meeting at 7:45 pm. The regular location for the meeting is Hope (formerly St. Michael's) Episcopal Church, 1613 W 43rd St, in Oak Forest. Park in the row of spaces on Cheshire at the corner of 43rd, by the small white buildings just down from Oaks - go past the nearest building to get to the meeting.

Middle Eastern Dance
The Middle Eastern Dance guild meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at the Ballam Belly Dance Studio, located in the adjunct building behind the Grace United Methodist Church, at 1245 Heights Blvd in Houston. No prior belly dance experience is necessary, nor is garb. If you get lost, call 832-875-8013. NOTE: Not meeting regularly, so call before coming.

Scribal Guild
The Scribal Guild meets the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month from 5:30-8 pm at the Central Market, 3815 Westheimer Rd. Bring your paint supplies; some loaner items will be provided. Madrigal Guild
The Stargate Madrigal Guild is restarting! Interested gentles should contact Master Ihon Vinson MacFergus at jhirling AT gmail DOT com.

European Dance Guild on Hiatus
The European Dance Guild, which was holding practice on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at Central Market, is looking for a new location that can accommodate a Wednesday evening practice. If you have a suggestion for a new location, please contact Lord Antonello del Bello at (281) 850-2443 or antonello DOT sca AT sbcglobal DOT net. Please, no calls after 10 pm.

Bardic Guild on Hiatus
Stargate's Bardic Guild is now on hiatus for the foreseeable future. Those interested in the bardic arts are invited to attend the Madrigal Guild.

Fighter Practices

Stargate Armored Combat Practice
A combined chivalric and rapier practice is once again being held at Memorial Park on 2nd and 4th Sundays, currently at NOON. The location - where N Picnic Lane and S Picnic Lane meet Memorial Drive - has main road access, parking and restrooms. Type in “sca fighter practice” at Google Maps to get custom directions. Combined Loch Soilleir/Stargate Chivalric and Rapier Practice is held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm at Centennial Park, 3219 McLean Road, Pearland, TX.

Gate's Edge Fighter practice is being held starting at 3 pm on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at Meyer Park. Note on location: Meyer Park is on both sides of Cypresswood. The main entrance for both sides is at Meyer Park Dr, which has a stop light. Driving down Cypresswood from 249 we are on the right side; coming from I-45 we are on the left. We are just inside the park between the parking lot and the road, on the right as you enter. Look for shields and a banner.

Accepting applications for the following offices::

Minister of Children - Serves the Barony by promoting and facilitating the participation of Stargate's children in the life of the Barony. If you are interested, please contact the current Minister of Children, the B&B, or the Seneschal.

Youth Rapier Marshal - Serves the Barony by training our young rapier fighters and maintaining the youth rapier loaner equipment.  Contact the Seneschal for more information.

Holding an office is a great way to become involved and meet your fellow Stargaters. Eligible applicants must have enthusiasm and a wish to learn and carry out their new office. Please send your application to the Stargate Seneschal (seneschal AT stargate DOT ansteorra DOT org), the corresponding Regional officer, and the B&B.
