Join us for an East meets West Ottoman Yule Revel, to be held on Saturday, December 6th at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 1656 Blalock, Houston, TX 77080.
Adding to the spirit of the holiday, we will be hosting the Kingdom Middle Eastern Dance Championship, a competition between the finest dancers that the Eastern empires have to offer.
We will also be choosing the Barony's Bardic and Arts & Sciences champions.
Again this year the event will include an Ansteorran Bardic College. Classes are open to all who want to learn more about the bardic arts.
For those interested in European dance, there will be a European ball after Court. Prior experience is not necessary, as the dances for the evening will be taught in the morning.
Contact the Middle Eastern Dance Deputy for information on the schedule, formats and themes for all dance activities.
There will be a morning exchange of arms between those who fight Chivalric and those who fight with Rapier. Entry to the list is one toy to be donated to Toys for Tots. Everyone attending is invited to donate new, unwrapped toys and enter a raffle for a prize.

Unto the Amazing Artisans and Skillful Scientists of the Stellar Kingdom of Ansteorra, does Mistress Delphina de Champeaux send a challenge.
I am looking at the end of holding the honor of being the Titled Artisan for Their Sentinel Excellencies; Christyana and Robert. This great and grand barony is now looking for a new artisan for the coming year. I challenge each and every artisan to bring their best work to display for the pleasure of Their Excellencies and the populace of the Barony of Stargate to the Yule Festival on December 6th.
The competition to find my replacement is to display a single piece of your best art work or most miraculous science. Documentation encouraged and there is no theme for the displays. (If you want help with documentation please feel free to contact me.)
Former Stargate Artisans are encouraged to assist Their Sentinel Excellencies in the selection of the next Stargate Artisan. (If you are a former artisan of Stargate and hope to come to this event, please contact me off list.)
There is a special prize for good gentles who are new to A&S displays. This portion of the competition is for or those who have competed in one or less A&S competitions in the last 10 year and are not part of the Order of the Laurels.
I remain in service,
Mistress Delphina de Champeaux
Titled Artisan of the Barony of the Stargate
On behalf of Their Sentinel Excellencies, Robert & Christyana, Baron & Baroness of Stargate, I would like to invite everyone out to Stargate Yule on December 6th as they seek to find their new Titled Bard! I have proudly served as Stargate Bard for nearly a year and it has been a wonderful time!
The format is as follows:
The overall theme of the competition is Hope.
Round 1: Period piece or piece in a period style
Round 2: Bring your best piece to perform at around the fire in a circle. Not your standard "competition piece," but what is a real crowd-pleaser.
Please feel free contact me if you have any questions.
